Declaration on digital accessibility

Status of compliance with the requirements

The requirements are listed in § 3 BITV 2.0 (https://www.gesetze-im-internet.de/bitv_2_0/BJNR184300011.html). In particular, the criteria of chapter 9 of EN 301549 v3.2.1 (corresponds to the success criteria of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at conformance level AA) must be met.

How accessible is the website?

The websites are largely accessible. The following aspects do not always meet the requirements:
The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons: Incompatibility with Section 3 (2) BITV 2.0 Specifically, the following success criteria of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 are not met:

  • The alternative texts of graphics do not always fully reflect the purpose of the graphic.
  • Some contrast ratios are below the minimum limit (see note above)
  • In addition, the PDF files contain either no tags or tags of moderate quality
  • Most content is aimed at commercial customers who have different accessibility requirements. This is especially true for PDFs
  • The navigation structures are not always easy to use

This declaration was created and checked on 1.12.2024

It is based on a self-assessment of the accessibility of the website (conformity test according to WCAG 2.1) by DIAS GmbH - Daten, Informationssysteme und Analysen im Sozialen (studio.bitvtest.de) and the online service accessMonitor (accessmonitor.acessibilidade.gov.pt).
